Cedar Rapids- The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and
Explosives (ATF), Cedar Rapids Police Department and the National Shooting
Sports Foundation (NSSF) – the trade association for the firearms industry –today,
announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of
those responsible for the theft of firearms from America’s Second Amendment
Firearms, a Federal Firearms Licensee in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000, which will be
matched by the NSSF for a total possible reward of $10,000 for information
leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
In the early morning hours of Saturday June 3, 2017, unknown
suspects forced entry America’s Second Amendment Firearms, 737 1st Avenue
Southwest. ATF and the Cedar Rapids Police Department are investigating the
incident.

This reward is part of a larger national cooperative
initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which the NSSF matches ATF rewards in
cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed retailers. ATF
works closely with the members of the firearms industry to curb the criminal
acquisition and misuse of firearms.
