MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – Robert Lee Wyatt, of Elkridge,
Maryland has admitted to a drug distribution charge, United States Attorney
Bill Powell announced.
Wyatt, age 39, pled guilty to one count of “Aiding and
Abetting the Distribution of Cocaine Base.” Wyatt admitted to distributing
cocaine base in Mineral County in June 2017.
Wyatt faces up to 20 years incarceration and a fine of up to
$1,000,000. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence
imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal
history, if any, of the defendant.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Lara K. Omps-Botteicher is
prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The case was investigated by
the Potomac Highlands Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Trumble presided.
