A Laguna Beach man was arrested today in connection with a pair of Orange County bank robberies in the cities of Lake Forest and Laguna Beach. Bill Wright Wills, 22, of Laguna Beach, California, was arrested today without incident by FBI agents, Orange County sheriff’s deputies, and officers with the Laguna Beach Police Department. Wills is being held in the custody of Orange County officials and will be prosecuted by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office in connection with the charges.
In unrelated cases, investigators are seeking two unidentified males in connection with recent Orange County bank robberies. The men are being sought by the FBI and law enforcement officials in Orange County. The two cases are described below:
An unidentified white male known as the “Gen X Bandit” is being sought for his alleged role in two bank robberies in the city of Irvine on May 17.
A second unidentified white male known as the “Gone Plaid Bandit” is suspected of robbing a bank in Irvine on May 16 and banks in Yorba Linda and Anaheim earlier this year.
Bank surveillance photographs of the Gone Plaid Bandit and the Gen X Bandit are being released publicly. Video surveillance footage of the man believed to be the Gen X Bandit is available by contacting the Orange County Sheriff’s Department at the number listed below.
