Dupree Man Sentenced for Conspiracy to Distribute Vicoprofen

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Dupree man charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute Vicoprofen (a combination Hydrocodone product) was sentenced on September 6, 2011, by United States District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Leland Brown Wolf, age 40, was sentenced to two months in custody, two years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund.

Leland Brown Wolf received Vicoprofen via prescription between September 1, 2009, and January 31, 2011. He and his wife, Jennifer Brown Wolf, conspired to distribute some of the Vicoprofen pills. A cooperating witness, who was working with the Division of Criminal Investigation, made controlled purchases of Vicoprofen from Jennifer Brown Wolf on October 14, 2010, and from Leland Brown Wolf and Jennifer Brown Wolf on November 15, 2010. Leland Brown Wolf pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, Vicoprofen, on June 21, 2011.

This case was investigated by the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney Jay Miller prosecuted the case.
