Pembina, N.D. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will have uniformed CBP officers staffing a booth at the upcoming Northwest Sportshow in Minneapolis, March 28 through April 1.The officers will be available to provide general boating information, answer CBP-related questions, discuss available CBP Trusted Traveler Programs, and inform travelers on required documents when crossing the border.
“Our attendance at this annual event is a great opportunity for CBP to provide boaters with updated literature, while answering a host of border related questions,” said Mary Delaquis, Pembina, N.D. area port director." The Area Port of Pembina continues to devote time and resources towards properly promoting the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) and small boat reporting requirements.”
This will be CBP’s sixth year in attendance and the boating community has grown accustomed to our presence at the event. The outdoor recreational show held annually at the Minneapolis Convention Center, is one of the largest in the Midwest with more than 37,000 attendees.
