Phoenix Man Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison for Transportation of Child Pornography


PHOENIX—Clifford Dale Miller, 50, of Phoenix, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge David G. Campbell on April 16, 2012 to 96 months in federal prison, followed by lifetime supervised release. Miller pleaded guilty to transportation of child pornography on January 23, 2012.

Between October 9, 2009 and May 14, 2010, Miller was chatting online with an undercover officer who was posing as a 13-year-old girl from Texas. During that time, Miller transported still images and video files of child pornography to the undercover officer. Miller transported a total of 62 still images and 10 video files of child pornography.

The investigation in this case was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Somervell County, Texas Sheriff’s Office. The prosecution was handled by Christina J. Reid-Moore, Assistant U.S. Attorney, District of Arizona, Phoenix.
