National Institute of Justice Issues Challenge to Develop High Speed Software Applications that Improve Law Enforcement, Community Safety

The National Institute of Justice has issued a Challenge called “Ultra-High Speed Apps: Using Current Technology to Improve Criminal Justice Operations.” The Challenge is a call to design and create UHS-compatible apps that measurably improve the efficiency and/or effectiveness of criminal justice and public safety services and operation. The apps, for example, might alert law enforcement to predictable threats and disasters. The NIJ UHS Challenge remains open for submissions through February 14, 2014.
