Roswell, NM – On Thursday, April 17, 2014, U.S. Marshals and
the Roswell Police Department arrested Carl “Speedy” Burleson out of the Summit
Apartments in Roswell, NM. Burleson was wanted on charges stemming from absconding
from a re-entry facility and using methamphetamine. Burleson served a 40 month
sentence in prison following a conviction for felon in possession of a Firearm.
Burleson has an extensive violent criminal history.
Burleson is a member of "Crazy Town Roswell" a New
Mexico Department of Corrections prison gang made up of prisoners from the
Roswell area. Burleson is also a member of the "Surenos" street gang
and during his most recent term of confinement became a member of the SNM
(Syndicato Nuevo Mexico) prison gang which is known for extreme violence.
