Reidsville, NC – This morning at 10:00 AM, Robert Emanuel
Napper, a 23 year old, Black Male, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint
Fugitive Task Force (JFTF). On June 10, 2015, warrants were issued by High
Point Police Department for Breaking and Entering and Larceny after Breaking
and Entering. Napper also has a lengthy criminal history consisting of Assault
on Female, Robbery with Dangerous Weapon, Common Law Robbery and Attempted Murder.
After surveillance and other investigative efforts, Napper
was located by Task Force members at a Sheetz gas station located on Freeway
Drive in Reidsville, NC. Napper left the Sheetz gas station and Task Force
members followed the suspect for approximately one mile. Task Force vehicles
attempted to block Napper’s vehicle at a traffic light located at Freeway Drive
and South Park Drive. Napper accelerated his vehicle and attempted to flee
capture. During his attempt to evade arrest, Napper nearly missed hitting a
Task Force officer with his vehicle. As Napper attempted to turn around and
accelerate toward Task Force members again, one of the USMS vehicles struck the
suspect vehicle, rendering it inoperable. Napper was then taken into custody
and transported to the High Point Police Department for processing purposes. A
small amount of cocaine was discovered in Napper’s vehicle and charges are
forthcoming. It is anticipated that additional charges will be filed.
The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle
District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals
Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro
Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston-Salem Police
Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Highway
Patrol and the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Department of
Community Corrections – Probation & Parole.
