Indianapolis - Customs and Border Protection (CBP) offices in
Indianapolis have been closed due to the weather. The decision was made after being informed by the international carries, which fly into
Indianapolis International Airport, they have canceled flights.
CBP is working closely with the airport authority, airlines, trade community and external stakeholders to keep them up to date with the latest information related to the status of operations.
CBP has taken steps to ensure that staff is in place to process arriving passengers, cargo and diverted flights, once international air operations resume.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
