According to United States Attorney Peter J. Smith, Adam J. Windon, age 36, was sentenced by District Court Judge Christopher C. Conner to a prison term of 120 months followed by 12 years of supervision. Judge Conner also directed that Windon’s sentence be run consecutively to a five-year state prison sentence he is currently serving on charges of sexually assaulting nine children. Windon pleaded nolo contendre to the sexual assault charges in the York County Court of Common Pleas.
Information presented in federal court established that while they were investigating the sexual assaults, police found evidence that Windon also possessed child pornography. They obtained search warrants for his computer equipment and, in the resulting searches, recovered more than 1,000 images and 165 movies that met federal guidelines for child pornography. Many images showed prepubescent children who had been restrained and others showed sadistic acts.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the York Area Regional Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Christy H. Fawcett.
