Nabbed by Dandridge Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office After Vehicle Pursuit
At approximately 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 29, 2010, a white male, later identified as David Carroll Livingston, 29, of Bybee, Tennessee, entered the FSG Bank located at 1013 South Highway 92 in Dandridge, Tennessee. After displaying a demand note and gesturing as if he had a weapon, Livingston obtained an undetermined amount of money. He left the scene in a black 1995 Toyota Tacoma.
During a pursuit by local law enforcement officers, Livingston collided with several Dandridge Police Department (DPD) and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) vehicles, threw money from the windows of his Toyota Tacoma, and eventually wrecked. DPD and JCSO officers apprehended Livingston after he crashed.
Officers recovered some of the discarded cash from the side of the road. The red University of Georgia ball cap and aviator-style sunglasses described by witnesses were recovered from the scene. A weapon was also recovered.
A federal arrest warrant was issued charging Livingston with armed bank robbery. Following an initial appearance in U.S. District Court yesterday, Livingston was detained pending a detention hearing next Wednesday.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
