Activity in the United States Attorney’s Office


Rayburn Scott Harmon, 23, of Loveland, Colorado, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on July 9, 2012, for use of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. Harmon was arrested in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He received 85 months plus 17 days of imprisonment, to be served consecutively to the 84-month term in docket number 11-CR-113-J. In addition, Harmon will serve 10 years of supervised release, to be served concurrently to the term of five years of supervision in docket number 11-CR-113-J, and was ordered to pay a $200 special assessment and restitution in the amount of $989.99. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Janet Elaine Harrington, 57, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on July 6, 2012, for conversion of monies from a government agency. Harrington received two years of probation and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment and restitution in the amount of $270,655. This case was investigated by the Department of Veteran Affairs and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Dack Jensen, 37, of Evanston, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on July 6, 2012, for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Jensen was arrested in Utah. He received 120 months of imprisonment, to run concurrent with a sentence received in Utah, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment and restitution in the amount of $3,594.00. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
