FBI and San Diego Police Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Man Who Robbed Bank Threatening Bomb

May 13, 2010 - The FBI and San Diego Police Department, are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Chase Bank, 8850 Navajo Road, San Diego, California, on Wednesday, May 12, 2010.

At approximately noon today, an unknown male hereinafter referred to as the robber, walked into the Chase Bank, 8850 Navajo Road, San Diego, and threatened to detonate a bomb if the tellers did not give him money. The robber walked up and down the teller line threatening to detonate the device he held in his hand, which resembled a cell phone. After receiving a sum of money the robber exited the bank and was last seen heading westbound on Navajo Road. No injuries were reported.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

Sex: Male
Race: White
Age: Late 20’s
Height: Approximately 6’4” tall

Clothing: Gray hoodie, blue jeans, rubber gloves, white mask that covered lower part of the robber’s face, and plaid boxer shorts.
