June 22, 2010 - The Denver Police Department (DPD) and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) responded to a bank robbery which occurred on Monday, June 21, 2010 at approximately 2:55 p.m. at the TFC Bank, 18520 Green Valley Ranch Blvd., Denver, Colorado.
Witnesses described four black males in their early 20’s, wearing hoods and bandanas, armed with handguns. The robbers fled the bank on foot.
A traffic stop was made during the response to the robbery and DPD officers and agents from the FBI RMSSTF searched a nearby neighborhood for suspects and evidence. No arrests have been.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
