ATF OFFERS $5K REWARD FOR INFORMATION ON RETAIL GUN THEFT


Investigators Seek Public's Help in Solving Crime, Recovering Stolen Guns

DETROIT — Special Agent in Charge David L. McCain of the Detroit Field Division of the ATF today announced ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the theft of firearms that occurred at Wild John's Gun Store/Party Store, 6348 N. Van Dyke Road, Cass City, Mich. The burglary occurred sometime between Tuesday 10 p.m. and Wednesday 4 a.m.

The individual or individuals who broke into Wild John's Gun Store/Party Store forced entry through a side door. Stolen were 36 handguns, 9 long guns, ammunition and cash.

ATF and the Sanilac County Sheriff's Department are seeking the public's assistance in identifying those responsible. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 24/7 to the ATF Hotline at 1-800-ATF-GUNS (800-283-4867). Callers can remain anonymous.
