Serial Bank Robber Daniel Hodgins Robs Another Bank Today

May 7, 2010 - Daniel Hodgins, the Center City serial bank robber being sought by the FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department, is believed to be responsible for the robbery of the Susquehanna Bank branch at 1635 Market Street at approximately 11:35 a.m. today.

In today’s robbery, he was wearing a plain yellow baseball cap, a bright green t-shirt, khaki cargo shorts, and camouflage-colored Converse “Chuck Taylor” sneakers. He presented a threatening demand note to a teller, and then fled on foot in the direction of 18th and Cherry Streets after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.

Hodgins, of the Grey's Ferry section of Philadelphia, is also wanted in connection with the April 21, 2010 robbery of the PNC Bank branch at 230 S. Broad Street, the April 26, 2010 robbery of the TruMark Federal Credit Union branch at 1811 JFK Boulevard, and this past Monday’s robbery of the Republic First Bank located at 1601 Market Street.

Hodgins is a white male, 31 years of age, 5’7” tall, approximately 175 lbs, brown hair, and green eyes. He is known to frequent areas in South and West Philadelphia.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. Hodgins is considered armed and dangerous. There may be a reward for information leading to Hodgins’ capture, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
