Seeking Information on Fridley Bank Robbery

On Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the TCF Bank located at 5205 Central Avenue Northeast, Fridley, Minnesota was robbed by a lone individual. The robber entered the bank, approached the victim teller, and presented a note demanding cash while verbally ordering her to quietly comply. After the teller turned over the money, the robber left the bank through the east doors and fled the area to the south towards an apartment complex.

The robber is described as an Asian male in his early to mid 20’s, approximately 5’6” – 5’7” tall with a slim build. He was wearing a teal jacket over a white shirt, a dark baseball cap with a blue emblem on the side, large dark aviator-style sunglasses, and a blue bandana wrapped around his neck. This individual is believed to be responsible for recent bank robberies in St. Paul and Maplewood.

Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis Office of the FBI, requests that anyone with information regarding this bank robbery contact the Minneapolis FBI at 612-376-3200, the Fridley Police Department, or Crime Stoppers. A reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
