Reward Offered for Information Leading to the Arrest and Conviction of the Person Known as the "Reckless Robber," Responsible for Over 20 Bank Robberies in Texas Dating Back to October 2008


May 5, 2010 - "Reckless Robber" Strikes Today at Wells Fargo Bank Branch in Farmers Branch

Robert E. Casey Jr., Special Agent In Charge, Dallas, FBI, announced that a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person known as the “Reckless Robber,” who is responsible for the May 5, 2010, robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank located at 13297 Josey Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas.

Wells Fargo Bank announced they were increasing the reward for the Reckless Robber to $ 20,000 for information leading to his the arrest and conviction.

The Reckless Robber began his streak of bank robberies on October 8, 2008 at a Compass Bank in Houston, Texas. Since October 2008, the Reckless Robber has struck at over 20 banks in communities around Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and now the Dallas area in Farmers Branch, Texas.

The Reckless Robber was featured on the April 24, 2010 episode of “America’s Most Wanted” (AMW). The AMW story is still posted on its website.

The Reckless Robber was given this moniker due to his violent and erratic behavior during the bank robberies.

The Reckless Robber is described as a male, white, 30-40 years old, 6’00” tall, weighing 200 pounds. In today’s robbery he was wearing a green shirt, green tie, dark colored pants, and sunglasses.

In all incidents the robber has been armed with a handgun and should be considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS.

These robberies are being investigated jointly by the FBI and local law enforcement agencies that include the Houston PD, Austin PD, San Antonio Police Department, and Farmers Branch PD.

Anyone recognizing this robber or having information about his current whereabouts should call the Dallas FBI Office at 972-559-5000, your local FBI office, or your local police agency. This person should not be approached by citizens who may recognize him or know his whereabouts.
