FBI Atlanta Arrest of Two Armed Bank Robbers

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Brian D. Lamkin, FBI Atlanta, announces the following arrests in connection with the September 9, 2010 armed robbery of the Suntrust Bank, 4338 Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta (Vinings), Georgia.

On Monday, September 20, 2010, at approximately 5:00 p.m., FBI agents arrested James Marshall Sullivan, age 24, of Atlanta, and Montavious Jendel Hardy, age 22, also of Atlanta, at the Motel 6, located on
Lawrenceville Highway
in Tucker, Georgia. Both are being charged federally with bank robbery and the use of a weapon in the commission of a crime. A third person, Jessie Anderson, also known as James Grey, age 52, was taken into custody at the scene by Dekalb County Police on drug related charges.

Sullivan and Hardy will have their initial appearances in front of a U.S. Magistrate Judge in Atlanta this afternoon.

On Thursday, September 9, 2010, at approximately 9:23 a.m., two individuals entered the Suntrust Bank, located at
4338 Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta, Georgia
and brandished at least one handgun while announcing a robbery. No injuries were reported during the takeover-style robbery and, after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the robbers were seen departing in a small black vehicle, possibly a Nissan Altima, with possible drive out type license plates.

The public are reminded that the above are merely allegations and that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
