Within 24 hours of the city’s 15th bank robbery, the El Paso FBI Violent Crime Task Force, working alongside with the El Paso Police Department, arrested a suspect in the Wells Fargo Bank Robbery. Antonio Saenz, 51 years old, of the 4800 block of Maureen Circle , was arrested without incident on Friday afternoon
On Thursday, September 16, 2010, the Wells Fargo Bank, 5130 N. Lee Trevino, was robbed at approximately 4:30 p.m. The subject claimed to have a weapon and demanded money, and the bank teller complied with his request. Subsequent to the robbery, the FBI publicized the photos provided by Wells Fargo , conducted interviews, and collected forensic evidence at the bank. The FBI, working alongside with the El Paso Police Department, acted on a tip received that evening and intensified their investigation. The end result of the cooperative efforts between the FBI and the El Paso Police Department was the successful location and arrest of Antonio Saenz.
