U.S. Marshals Nab South Carolina Fugitive in New York

Florence, SC – Kevin Alexander AKA “Twin Diddy” has been a fugitive since June 20th, 2001 and was apprehended by the Regional Fugitive Task Force (RFTF) in Staten Island, NY on Wednesday September 22nd, 2010. Deputy U.S. Marshals in Florence, SC developed information of the whereabouts of Alexander and requested the assistance from the Deputy U.S. Marshals in Eastern New York.

Deputy U.S. Marshals and task force officers with the RFTF determined Alexander was residing at the

65 Holland Ave.

Apartments in Staten Island, NY. Upon entry to the residence a person fitting the description of Alexander was observed and taken into custody without incident. Information provided to Deputy U.S. Marshals led them to believe weapons may have been present and after conducting a search incident to arrest a loaded .44 caliber revolver and a loaded .38 caliber revolver were recovered.

“Alexander will have to return to SC and face the pending charges against him. This should be a lesson to other fugitives that no matter how far you run the Deputy U.S. Marshals will work tirelessly to bring you in. The efforts of everyone involved have brought another fugitive to justice. Alexander is awaiting future court proceedings in the Eastern District of New York and will be returned to SC for the pending charges he faces.” stated Kelvin Washington U.S. Marshal for the District of SC.
