GREENVILLE, N.C. - Two illegal aliens residing in Henderson, N.C., were sentenced Tuesday to seven years in prison for charges related to illegal drug distribution following an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
Martin Salazor Bolanos, 30, and Martin Martinez, 39, were both sentenced after a criminal information filed April 5, charged them with conspiring to distribute and possess, with the intent to distributed, a quantity of cocaine.
On Jan. 8 Bolanos pleaded guilty to the charges. The same date, a controlled purchase of cocaine was arranged with him and surveillance was set up at the agreed upon location.
Bolanos and Martinez , along with another individual, arrived at the location where officers approached and detained Bolanos in the vehicle. Under the front passenger seat was a diaper which contained approximately 250 grams of powder cocaine and a .38 caliber pistol.
