Incident Description: Lieutenant Krodle was among the several crews that responded to a working structure fire in a multifamily residential building. While attempting to perform vertical ventilation from the roof of the 2-story apartment, Lt. Krodle fell through the roof and into the attic.  He was rescued by fellow firefighters and was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas where he later died from his injuries.
