The Denver Police Department and FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) responded to a bank robbery which occurred on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the Key Bank, 4005 Chambers Road, Denver, Colorado.
The butt of a handgun was seen in the suspect’s jacket pocket.
The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 50 years of age; approximately 5'5” to 5’6”, approximately 145 to 180 pounds, with dark scruffy facial hair.
The suspect demanded money and fled.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
