Woman Sentenced for Selling Methamphetamine on Coeur d’Alene Indian Reservation

Jackie Moffitt, a.k.a. Jackie Allen, 44, of Worley, Idaho, was sentenced today after pleading guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribution of methamphetamine. In June 2010, Moffitt admitted to buying and selling methamphetamine on the Coeur d’Alene Indian Reservation. Moffitt also admitted to transporting approximately two pounds of methamphetamine from the Tri-Cities area.

U.S. District Judge Edward J. Lodge sentenced Moffitt to 60 months in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The prison sentence will be followed by four years of supervised release where she will be monitored by the U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services. While supervised, Moffitt must submit to random drug tests and searches. She will also be required to undergo drug treatment and maintain employment or education.

Moffitt is one of 16 people who have been prosecuted as part of the conspiracy.

The investigation was conducted by the North Idaho Violent Crime Task Force, which consists of members of the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Coeur d’Alene Police Department, Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police Department, Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office, Post Falls Police Department, Idaho State Police, Bonner County Sheriff’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
