Gregg County Man Sentenced for Federal Drug Crimes


April 22, 2010 - TYLER, TX—U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced today that a 29-year-old Longview, Texas man has been sentenced to federal prison for federal drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.

ADAIR BERNARD STOKER pleaded guilty on Sep. 9, 2009, to possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and was sentenced to 78 months in federal prison today by U.S. District Judge Leonard E. Davis. Stoker was also assessed an $8,000 forfeiture judgment.

According to information presented in court, on July 20, 2009, Stoker was found in possession of crack cocaine which he intended to distribute to others in the Longview, Texas area. A federal grand jury returned an indictment on Mar. 4, 2009, charging Stoker with federal drug violations.

This case was investigated by the FBI, ATF, the Longview Police Department, the Gregg County CODE Unit, the Gregg County Sheriff's Office, the Gregg County District Attorney's Office, the Marshall Police Department, the Harrison County District Attorney's Office, the Harrison County Sheriff's Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety. This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard L. Moore.
