Seeking Information on Robbery of M and I Bank Branch in Wayzata

On Friday, April 16, 2010, at approximately 1:15 p.m., the M and I Bank located at 1200 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone individual. The robber entered the bank, drew a sawed-off shotgun, and handed the victim teller a black gym bag while making a verbal demand for cash. After the teller complied with the demand, the robber grabbed the bag, leaving the gun on the counter, and fled the bank on foot. He was last seen running into the woods behind the bank in the direction of Central Avenue. An individual matching the description of the robber was seen in the area in the hours preceding the robbery.

The robber is described as a black male in his early to mid 30’s, approximately 5’7” - 5’9” tall, with a heavy athletic build and wavy black hair that may have been a wig. He was wearing a black jacket with a white skull on each shoulder and a white skull on the chest, a dark hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes, black leather gloves, dark sunglasses, and a black bandana which he pulled up over his face.

Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis Office of the FBI, requests that anyone with information regarding this bank robbery contact the Minneapolis FBI at 612-376-3200, the Wayzata Police Department, or Crime Stoppers. A reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
