Sentences

Mariano Flores–Sosa, 24, of Mexico, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on August 4, 2011, for illegal re–entry of an illegal alien into the United States. Flores-Soas was sentenced to time served plus ten days, was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Sabino Perez–Garcia, 31, of Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on August 4, 2011, for illegal re–entry of an illegal alien into the United States. Perez–Garcia was sentenced to time served plus ten days, was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Efrain Medina–Talamantes, 27, of Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on August 1, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute seven ounces or more of a mixture of methamphetamine and one ounce of cocaine. Medina–Talamantes was sentenced to 87 months of imprisonment, to be followed by four years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $250.00 fine. This case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Christopher A. Jeffries, 45, of Rock River, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on August 1, 2011, for a felon in possession of firearms and using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. Jeffries received 180 months of imprisonment, to be followed by five year of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $500.00 fine and restitution in the amount of $948.00. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
