Allentown Resident Charged with Heroin Distribution and Possession of Firearm

April 3, 2010 - Felix Alvarez was charged today in a six-count indictment with conspiracy to distribute one kilogram or more of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, three counts of distribution of heroin, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy.

AGE OR YEAR OF BIRTH: 1980

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of lifetime incarceration, a mandatory minimum 15 years' incarceration, a $9,250,000 fine, a mandatory minimum five years' supervised release up to lifetime supervised release, and a $600 special assessment.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Allentown Police Department and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Sherri A. Stephan.
